We know this decision isn’t just about school. It’s about how you want your child to grow, to think, and to live. It’s about stepping away from a system that no longer serves them—and stepping into a living, breathing learning experience that prepares them for life. It’s about choosing:
Regenerative learning over standardized education.
Mentorship and real-world mastery over memorization.
A thriving community over isolation.
Sovereignty, self-reliance, and leadership over passive participation.
This is your invitation. Not just to enroll in a school—but to become part of a movement that is redefining education for the next generation.
While each day follows a familiar flow, no two days are ever quite the same. Our learning environment shifts with the seasons, ongoing projects, and the wisdom of guest mentors who join us to share their gifts.
Here’s a glimpse into our daily flow:
Morning Check-In & Movement
We begin each day by arriving fully—through connection, intention, and movement. This could be yoga, games, breathwork, or simply grounding in nature.
Journaling & Inner Reflection
A quiet time for goal-setting, mindful writing, or simply listening inward. This cultivates self-awareness and personal responsibility.
Individual Learning Time
Students work independently on what excites them most—whether that’s a math workbook, reading a novel, sketching a new idea, or diving into a personal research topic.
Snacks are available during this time as needed.
Lunch & Free Play
Time to nourish the body and enjoy connection—indoors or out.
Socratic Discussion or Debate
We gather in circle to explore meaningful questions, practice critical thinking, and engage in respectful dialogue around ideas that matter.
Project Collaboration & Creation
Students work together on shared hands-on projects aligned with the session theme—this could include building, crafting, performing, or problem-solving.
(This may be swapped with Socratic time depending on the day.)
Closing Circle, Clean-Up & Dismissal
We reflect on the day, tidy our shared space, and head home with a sense of accomplishment, belonging, and curiosity for what’s next.
The Power of Focused, Intentional Learning
Through listening to our community, we have structured Apogee Lockhart as a 3-day-per-week learning experience—balancing deep engagement with flexibility for family learning, apprenticeships, and real-world exploration.
More Focus, More Depth: Less time spent sitting in a classroom, more time engaged in meaningful, hands-on learning.
Time for Self-Directed Mastery: Children have the space to develop skills, passions, and projects outside of structured school hours.
Stronger Family & Community Bonds: Parents and children have more time together to integrate learning into daily life.
Real-World Readiness: Older students will use their extra days for internships, apprenticeships, or entrepreneurial work. This model gives families the best of both worlds—a thriving learning environment without the rigid constraints of a 5-day traditional school week.
We are committed to ensuring that every family who joins Apogee Lockhart is fully aligned with our mission.
Step 1: Apply to Become a Founding Family
This is more than filling out a form. It’s an invitation to reflect:
Is this the right path for your child?
Are you ready to be part of a different kind of learning community?
Do you believe in education as a journey, not just a checklist?

Step 2: Family Conversation & Vision Alignment
If we believe your family is a great fit, we’ll schedule a conversation to dive deeper into your vision for your child’s education and how Apogee Lockhart can support that.
This includes a family interview and a student questionnaire.
Step 3: Enrollment & Welcome to the Community
Once your family is accepted, you’ll receive everything you need to begin this transformative journey.

have tried to succeed.”
